The day after Christmas, the Philadelphia region was hit with a fairly big snowstorm. This was bad news for my parents, who had plans to drive back to Georgia, but good news for Chase, who LOVES to play in the snow. I realized early in the day (luckily before the snow started) that Chase didn't have snow boots, so we rushed out to Target to buy him a pair. We weren't the only ones who had this idea, and the kids' boot section was nearly cleaned out. Luckily we located a decent pair of toddler size 10s and were on our way.
The snow started early that afternoon, just before Chase went down for a nap. I told him that after he woke up from his nap, he could go play in the snow. Of course that day he took a marathon nap, and by the time he woke up, it was almost 5 o'clock -- it was dark outside! But a promise is a promise, so I got the both of us bundled up, and we trudged out into the backyard. Chase could have stayed out there all night, but it was bone chillingly cold, so we came back in after about a half hour.

It continued snowing pretty heavily all night, so by the next morning, there was even more snow on the ground. Chase went outside with Dziadzi and Daddy while they cleared the driveway. I think he could have stayed out there all day, but we finally coaxed him to come back in after over an hour.
