Well, look at that -- I'm behind on blogging again!
We've been very busy this month with local holiday activities. This year, Chase GETS Christmas -- the kid is so excited and enamored of all things Christmas that it's contagious. Andrew and I have repeatedly remarked that this is the most excited that we have been for Christmas since we were little kids ourselves.
We kicked off the holiday season the weekend after Thanksgiving with the Yardley tree lighting. It was freezing outside, but we bundled up and trekked down into the borough to check out this annual event, which was made all the more tantalizing to Chase by the double whammy promise of SANTA himself arriving on a FIRETRUCK.
And it wasn't disappointing (at least not to Chase -- Andrew and I couldn't help but notice that only one side of the tree actually lit up, but what can you do?) -- Chase loved everything about it. The old time-y carolers, the lights along Afton Lake, and of course, Santa climbing down from the firetruck, singing about "coming to town."
